This bears repeating.
The central point is that what is now the land of Israel was a barren wasteland after the Romans cut down all of the trees about 1900 years ago and expelled the Jews. Since then, no one has wanted it as a homeland except the Jews, and no one ever cared for the land. No nation except ancient and modern Israel EVER had Jerusalem as its capital. Only when the Jews began to return in the 1800's did the land begin to bloom again. Only when the Jews returned and formed a nation did the land become productive again. Only when the Jews returned did the Arabs express any desire for the land - the obvious conclusion being that they were and are so incapable of doing anything productive (and are very aware of this even though they'll never admit it) that they have to destroy what they can't create for themselves.
The Koran never once mentions Jerusalem, but the Torah mentions it over 600 times. Further, Jews have prayed daily for nearly 2,000 years to return to Israel and re-establish a Jewish nation with Jerusalem as its capital. Yet, beginning in 1967, Jerusalem suddenly became important to the rag heads, suddenly became the "3rd holiest spot in the Moslem world." What a crock of s#$t!
As for respecting the religion of others, the Moslems simply don't, unless they have no choice. They defiled every synogogue in East Jerusalem from 1948-1967, dumped garbage on the Temple Mount (where the Dome of the Crock is located, by the way) for hundreds of years, and used Jewish gravestones to build urinals.
If the Arabs ever come to control Israel, the land will revert to its former state of a total wasteland that no one wants. Of course, if that happens I would wager that every major Arab city would also become a heap of radioactive slag with a giant hole in the middle.
