Why would he have signed a bill that is flawed, according to him? And the regular posters on this thread are all capable and free to disagree with G.W. Bush now and then, otherwise, this thread becomes a censoring tool for those who don't celebrate everything the President does. We all desire to see our rights preserved, therefore, courteous disagreement must be permitted here and throughout FR.

You're right BUT they're still wrong.
There's nothing courteous about their invective, innuendoes and name-calling.

I can say I'm really disappointed in W signing CFR, for instance,
but you won't hear me questioning his integrity, intelligence, or patriotism.
Many of the detractors on this thread can't type a single word without acting childish.

Anyone who is a regular poster on this thread knows what it is about.

It's not really about political discussion. Do you honestly feel there is not enough political discussion on Free Republic? If so, I suggest you start such a thread.

We have been coming on this Day in the Life thread ... well, how long is it, rintense?

Anyway, we come here to enjoy pictures of our President, whom most of us love and admire.

I find it difficult to understand why you would want to come here and post negative comments which you know will annoy.

Again, you guys are missing my point! There are dozens of threads on FR tonight where you will find lively discussions of the pros and cons of President Bush signing this legislation today. This is a picture thread. You are in the wrong place!

Just got into an active discussion on another thread on same topic. This is not the place for your discussion take it to another thread. You are rudely interupting a pleasant place of peace.

Why would he have signed a bill that is flawed,

Can you name a bill that hasn't been flawed in some way? The saving grace on this particular bill is that there is a Republican Senator and other groups willing to challenge the questionable constitutional items; and keep those that benefit real campaign finance reform.

Say what you will but Bush is still working with his base in Congress that is able to assist him. Thank God for Sen McConnell for accepting his place in history.
