I like you, but you have NO CLUE. Is it that difficult to imagine that Rush ACTUALLY says what he THINKS? Every freaking day? This crap about Rush taking some position to appeal to this group or that group is just that, crap. It is just as much crap as saying he is nothing but a shill for the Republican party, which no-brains say all the time. He sits in front of the microphone and says what he thinks. Agree or disagree, fine. But the idea that Rush trolls FREE REPUBLIC to figure out what to talk about, and what opinion to adopt, is beyond annoying.

I find it hard to believe that self-professed "conservatives" would sling some of the trash I hear on these forums. The old "check their registration date" is the funniest one of all.

But maybe the Rush Limbaugh conspiracy theory tops it. Hmm which is more likely? That I happen to be a conservative who is vocal about my criticisms of our party and leaders when they make bad moves, or that I'm part of a vast conspiracy that is dedicated to making up virtual identities on the free republic web site, posting articles that are negative about our president, in hopes that Rush Limbaugh will pick up my article and think that he needs to alter what he is telling his audience in order to appeal to the latest wave of conservatism? LOL, that's one of the damned funniest things I've ever heard.....not the least insluting part of which is implying that Rush cannot think for himself, or that even if he can, he would simply pick up his opinions from what he perceives as the latest popular thought. Good lord.

Well, excuse me if I am wrong, and I will freely admit it, but either he is getting information from here, or a whole lot of people are lurking here and calling his show.

Sorry if I offended, but you must admit things seem to fall in a pattern, and whether Rush monitors here or not, and I am taking your word for it that he does not, I do know that a lot of media DO lurk here and judge conservative opinion from this board.

Don't you think this is rather odd, this sudden group of new people who are ALL so incensed with CFR? Especially since this wasn't even on the public's radar screen, but when Bush gets ready to sign it, BINGO, they are all here incensed about what was formerly a non-issue?

What is your explanation?
