President Bush signed the controversial Campaign Finance Reform bill today as Mitch McConnell immediately filed suit against it. Bush later headed to South Carolina where he spoke to Emergency First Responders in Greenville. He also stopped in Atlanta, Georgia at the Georgia Tech Institute of Technology where he watched drills demostrating response to terror attacks. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Good response, I'll remember that one. As we have all said, none of us likes CRF and I don't believe President Bush does either and I think it will be clear soon why he signed it. I love knowing that he did not have that stupid little man there for the signing. Pure "Dubya" if you ask me, knows when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em!

I think Dubya laid out in the statement quoted, exactly the plan to take care of this piece of legislation. I believe he was put into a political corner by both the DemoncRATS and by the media/McCain connection.Very well, they may be on first base with this travesty but I do believe the homer will be hit by our side. Do I like CFR? No.Do I think Dubya had a choice? Yes,bad ones. DO I think he realized the political fallout from not signing it outweighed the desires of the "principled" ? Yes. I think that CFR will burn in the harsh light of Judicial review.
