President Bush signed the controversial Campaign Finance Reform bill today as Mitch McConnell immediately filed suit against it. Bush later headed to South Carolina where he spoke to Emergency First Responders in Greenville. He also stopped in Atlanta, Georgia at the Georgia Tech Institute of Technology where he watched drills demostrating response to terror attacks. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

That is the GREATEST response to these people that I have seen!! THANK YOU!!
Can I copy it? Please? I will quote you, of course!

Hello, Jurisdog (whatever that means),
This is a pleasant thread, run by rintense. She works hard on it and deserves your respect. (She already has that of the rest of us.)She asked you to take your agenda elsewhere. I think that's a fair request.
Those of us who lurk or participate here just enjoy the positive side of learning what our president is doing each day. We're so happy to have a principled leader, even when we don't agree with him. At this venue, we talk about what we like. There are plenty of other places to get all worked up and raise one's blood pressure. I get tired of those high-pressure political discussions and want to go back to enjoying this thread. So play nice or bu!! out.

Yeah, because you'd lap up Clintoon's opinions on the Constitution like a thirsty dog, huh?
Americans don't acknowledge the authority to adjudicate of the executive and legislative branches.

You know, I think I am right about this. Anyone who monitors this board and listens to Rush knows that he gets lots of material from here. It has often been commented on by FR members.
If you planted a lot of new members poised to trash President Bush, they would load up the forum with this stuff, as they have done. Then Rush, trying to appeal to what he THINKS is the opinion of all conservatives, starts right down the path they cut for him. He is a sucker, and I am sorry I didn't think of this sooner.
The question is, what do we do about it?
LOL wow! Would you like a croissant to go with your cup of conspiracy theory?
Oh my lord marge, its a conservative who doesnt agree with everything I do! Get the shotgun!!!
Signing bills that are admittedly unconstitutional is not the act of a great leader in my opinion.
To: GraniteStateConservative
Every knowledgable person knew it was unconstitutional Being in California, I didn't know it was unconstitutional, and neither did our former Governor, Ronald Reagan, who liked the line item veto when he was governor here and wanted that same power as President.
Should we go for a Constitutional Amendment and put line item veto in the Constitution? I always thought it was the only way to get the budget balanced, and pay off the national debt.

Laura knows. She has seen them up close and personal......and often. In fact, she just might be gazing into them at this very moment......it's bedtime at the ranch. ;o)I have a new monitor, which makes looking at the photos even more enjoyable, but is no help as far as the President's eye color! It does seem, though, that there is more evidence for "blue" than any other color.
(Sigh...remember when this used to be such a nice, uplifting thread to go to just before bed? Oh, well.)

How long has it been? Since Inauguration Day, 2001.

Turn off Rush for a while and think for yourself.
To: Howlin
I'm with you, Howlin. Let's be patient. All in God's good time.

Thank you, RD.

Cheer up. Think of how many positive people are here, and how all of us appreciate President Bush and Laura.

Hey, jd...
This isn't the thread for the type of discussion you're trying to have. There are all kinds of places in this forum where we can go have a slugfest over policy, and I often do.
But this is rintense's party, and you should respect that.

If you believe in this system of Government you should feel confident that the unconstitutional portions of CFR will be struck down. I have enough faith in our system to believe a bill should not be discarded completely because of a few flaws, So quit the handwringing and let the system work

Not my first choice, but if that's the strategy, I hope it pays off. Ditto.

sign it on your way to SOUTH CAROLINA!!! LOL! I hadn't thought of that one. Way to dig at mccain, W! First, no Rose Garden and then straight back to South Carolina to raise some moola! I love it.
Sorry I am late...just finished dinner and I haven't read through the thread. Will do so and report back.
BTW, I love W's statement on CFR. Seems to be that he nailed it. On to the Courts!

Are you aware that the majority of people who are regulars on this thread are women. We had a name in grade school for the guy who used to hang around and bully the girls on the play ground....What part of WE DON'T WANT YOU TO PLAY WITH US,... DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND?..GO somewhere else.
