You obviously have no understanding of how Israel was re-incarnated. There never was an autonomous Palestine. Palestine was under Turkish rule prior to the Balfour decision of 1917. Great Britain hoped to allow Jews to return to their homeland and live alongside of the Arabs, who were being freed from the Turks. Palestine became a British territory under the League of Nations mandate. In 1947, the Jewish and Arab territories were split and Israel was made self-governing.

I think that I have it right, but I am sure that someone will correct me if I am wrong. Anyway, there never was a self-governing Palestine and the Arabs were not happy with the fact that the Jews got any territory. Maybe they would have been happier under the Turks.
