They aren't the only ones who were planning this, but they may have been first to court. All others will now pile on.

I would post something, but according to what I've been reading on FR, I just lost my freedom of speech. I suppose FR will be shutting down any minute now. :-)

IT would have been impossible to take it to court before this morning since it was not yet law. Courts can, ostensibly, only deal with what's on the books.

So we have to waste our NRA money, taking to court something that "Our Man" should never have signed in the first place?!? Bush sucks!

Waddya mean, "about time"? The bill was only signed into law today, and the NRA was on it within an hour.
The courts won't hear challenges to PENDING legislation.

Read my post, Laz. I said the NRA would not be stopped by this bill.It appears that the NRA disagrees with Nix 2.

"It's about time..."As amazing as it is that the NRA has actually taken some action, I still find this "it's about time" remark puzzling:
How could anyone have filed suit sooner? I mean, you can't file suit against a law before it's signed, can you?

Reason enough for me to renew my NRA membership when it comes up next month.
About time they (the NRA) grew a pair of testicles. Glad to see them in the fight!
