The first Civil War started over slavery. The second Civil War will be triggered by reparations. You just wait and see.

I remember the day after OJ got arrested, we were in the break room before opening, and the whites I worked with were talking and laughing about it, and the black people were looking uncomfortable, talking about "innocent until proven guilty" and so on. Gee, I felt the same way about it that the black people did. I thought OJ was a football icon and not too bad of an actor. I thought his commercials were pretty good. I wanted it NOT to be true.
This particular issue is simply about lawyers ripping people off - an even more egregious case than the tobacco ripoff, which was utterly unjust.

I honestly believe any company foolish enough to settle such a case will no longer be an independent company within 6-12 months... the backlash would be huge. The precident would be huge, even other companies would avoid doing business with them because of the precident they would be setting. Lord know's I'd see any stock in any company that did such nonesense.

I just don't know how 13% of the population thinks that it can extort 1.4 trillion dollars from the rest of us and get away without a fight.
Someday the amount of "tribute" will become too much and the war will begin.

It doesn't make any difference how much we pay. It will never be enough. The Arabs want to push Israel into the sea. Do you suppose these dirt bags wish to do something similar?

"...Gret Van Susteren's husband was one of the lawyers."I guess that's how she paid for her second face.
They've already won! The hit list is so large and the companies are so wealthy that many will settle out of court just to get this out of their way. In the end, the consumer will pay for this with higher service and product costs.
Jessie Jackson + ABA + PR + stupid juries + entitlement mentality = $$$$$$$$$$$$

"Do you suppose these dirt bags wish to do something similar?"No I don't suppose. I think it is all but certain.

These race baiting pigs are keeping the Civil War alive so watcha gonna do about it whitey?.......Probably nuttin'. I wouldn't have a problem with a special fund set up where GWL's (guilty white liberals) can send their cash into the hopper, after all they are the ones who "feel the pain" of these folks still lookin' to shake down da' man..........Next election, vote REPUBLICAN

People seem fully aware of why these types of efforts are pushed through react with a quiet paralysis to the danger. Exactly. Many will not speak up due to the fear of being labeled racist.
To: subterfuge
Many will not speak up due to the fear of being labeled racist. It's seems people would have become numbed to the meaning by now. What with everyone and their cat being dragged in front of the camera and painted as "racist" or a hater of some stripe. But it doesn't seem to ease the shame of being branded. "racist" has just turned into another word for "unclean", with the same irreligious undertone.
The only people that are going to be of any use, if change is to be won, are the people who willingly pass through the gauntlet of "shame" and hold tight to their dignity with both hands. A head held high through the slander will show the lie vividly. It will also go a long way towards helping our timid majority find enough courage to oppose these thought police.
I won't be holding my breath waiting for the mythical "waking of the masses" though. I'll just keep doing the same thing you are, talking with family and friends (and anyone who'll listen), trying to carve out a little pocket of sanity in the maelstrom.

re your # 119...
Would they ( Mexicans) have to work as hard as they do if the U.S. hadn't invaded Mexico in 1846?Not being a divinity, the question is impossible to answer.
However, it is historical fact that attrocities committed by Mexico during border raids ( by Santa Ana and others) during this period left no alternative. The Alamo (1836) is merely one example of an earlier effort by America to protect the civilian population in the region from these incursions.....which, unfortunately, failed.
