What, exactly, is admirable about cutting funding to libraries?

Q: What, exactly, is Constitutional about funding for libraries?
A: Nothing.

Q: Shouldn't library funding be left at the local, not the Federal, level?
A: Yes.

And you think this list is admirable? What, exactly, is admirable about cutting funding to libraries? Are you aware that all kinds of people use libraries, from the very wealthy to the very poor? Are you aware that kids from all kinds of backgrounds come in to use the resources of their public libraries? Are you aware that new immigrants come in to take advantage of the literacy programs that most libraries have, so that they may learn English as quickly as possible? Or don't you think these are worthy goals?

You must be a librarian. Library's are dens of liberality. Our library has no gun magazines but you can find child beastiality in them. My wife recieves dirty looks from the lezbo workers there when she takes our 8 kids there. Have you not seen the FR threads about dildo art at libraries or libraries defending internet porn?

What is so admirable about naming an ex-mining company executive to post of Assistant Secretary of Labor for Mine Safety? You don't see a small conflict of interest here? Like perhaps this guy does not give a damn about the miners and ONLY cares about how much money the company can make?

Maybe you would rather see a librarian or a tree hugger get this position.

What is admirable about allowing arsenic in drinking water? Do you WANT to drink water that contains arsenic? Do you WANT your children to consume this?

OK you've just given your position away as a non Rush fan. He laughs at this one just about every day. Welcome to FR. How have your first 2 weeks been?

What is admirable about NOT exploring alternative energy resources? Do you WANT to continue raping the environment? Do you WANT to continue depending on the resources in other countries?

You are talking to mr windpower. No one on the entire FR is more into Wind power than me. Look at how much wind power is being generated in Texas now. If you asked my opinion there should be a 1 dollar per gallon tax on gas and it should all go straight into the PTC for wind power. But that wouldn't be very politically expedient would it.

What is admirable about cutting funding to doctors' education? Don't you care about the education level of your children's physician?

Could you be more of a liberal? It's for the chillllldren you know. You are a big fan of government spending aren't you.

What is admirable about supporting genetically engineered foods? I guess you just want to shovel the money right into Monsanto's bank account. I guess you don't care what kind of food you or your children eat. I guess it is of no concern to you what you eat!

This is getting funny. I home school my children. Do you even have any children? Most liberals, like yourself don't or they have 1 child in daycare.

What is admirable about denying contracts to companies that violate workplace safety, environmental and other federal laws? Do you truly believe that people who suffer from carpel tunnel syndrome are making it up? Do you truly believe that companies have the right to abuse workers however they chose and not be held accountable? I challenge you to walk in the shoes of anyone who has been injured on the job and then and ONLY THEN do you have the right to say that upholding these laws is wrong.

Carpel tunnel is yet another invention from AMA to extract money from insurance companies.

I could go on and on about this list. There is NOTHING admirable about this. These so-called accomplishments are abominable and and not worthy of admiration!

I can tell that you could go on and on about this. What is your SN at the Democratic Underground?

Not everything in the list is admirable, but most of it is bullsh*t. Like your pitiful example of arsenic in the drinking water. Are you aware that even the most liberal standards would allow only the most minute, safe levels of arsenic? This whole non-issue was carefully engineered and dredged up by the dem morons to make it appear that Bush wants to poison our childrens' water. In reality, the proposed and unnecessary tightening of arsenic levels would cost industry and water treatment billions, making it an economic white elephant and a perfect tool for the unethical dem leadership to try and paint Bush with the giant enviro-brush. But it won't work. Just as the Enron circus won't work. And the ANWR cock-and-bull story.

Q: have democrats no shame, and no concept of truth?

A: no, they have not. they are devious idiots, pure and simple.

Message to DU: ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG IN REMEDIAL EDUCATION.

Apparently the only thing in this world that means anything to you is tax cuts. The rest of it can go hang. Well, kiddo, cut the taxes all you like. When you do that you cut services. And I GUARANTEE that you will be the first one to scream bloody murder when your services are cut. If you want services, regardless of what they are, then you have to pay for them.

Wrong. I just don't bark like a dog every time I read something that says that W is a horrible president. There are extremely few sources I would trust to tell me that. Even Rush stands to better himself now by turning on Bush. It's great for his show. You would do well not to join in the very easily manipulated crowd. You might even do well to watch your fellow liberal Peter Jennings fleecing of America and consider how many 'services' are not services at all.

This list of "accomplishments" are no accomplishments - they are a disgrace and an abomination!!!!!

Read the bible once and get a feel for the definition of the word abomination.

I wont go into his personnal life just yet Amelia , feel free to do so because people need to know the truth . your comment about running to get a marketing profile . I dont agree with politico's doing that but it is a long standing tradition amomg that crowd . Another angle to that is Buchannan, Dole, J.Jackson,Sharpton,Perot . They ran for any # of reasons and they were enriched . I would add Albacore and Mondale , but they are so impaired they actually thought that they had a shot . Yet the list goes on and on and on ...

I posted the link to the FEC reports so that people could judge for themselves. It bothers me personally that so many debts are going unpaid with no apparent attempt to even pay part. IMHO, that isn't honest and it doesn't agree with the moral stance Dr. Keyes portrays.

I don't agree with it either, but it certainly does seem to be prevalent among certain people.

Red Pepper? How 'bout just "Reds"? Dubya should wear this attempted slam as a badge of honor.

We cannot let Democrats ever rule the House again. Once in power, they will fix the rules so they never leave. They did it before and thought they were safe. This time they won't take any chances. And it will be far worse than in the past. The moderates Dems are gone. The lunatics who have been in for 25 years, the hard core left from the inner cities, will run the committees.

Which is the reason Bush and Ashcroft should investigate and prosecute those in the Clinton administration and DNC who committed serious crimes the last 9 years. Right now Ashcroft is ignoring those crimes ... not even investigating them. In doing this, he is EMPOWERING the criminals within the democRAT party making it all the more likely that they will STEAL the next election like they stole 92 and 96, and almost stole 2000. And unless you get those criminals out of the democRAT party and out of our government ... the next time democRATS get the Whitehouse it is going to be 10 times worse. If Bush and Ashcroft ignore election tampering (the Riady non-refund), blackmail of Republicans (Filegate), the killing of people who threaten the DNC (Ron Brown) and all the other crimes the democRATS committed, all the accomplishments in the world won't matter come election day.

As the left and the neo-cons bash my President I stand in awe of his greatness; the tide of history is showing how blessed we were that he is our President.

I love the way Bush is supporting Israel's war on terrorism; supporting the raid in Ramallah; allowing Israel to keep Arafat in a cage, so to speak.

I am surprised government cannot force the sale of private property for power lines already. Haven't they used the right eminent domain for private projects which don't serve an entire community(thinking sports stadiums and commercial centers such as the WTC)?

Be careful about your terms. Those bashing Bush are not the "neo-cons" they are the so-called "Paleo-cons" from the John Birch Society wing of the conservative movement. They have been in full throat here on FR for a month now.
