It is the same no matter where you go. Only 1% of 4 wheel drive owners really need a vehicle that can drive all four wheels. The rest use it when it isn't necessary, or purposely take their vehicles where 4WD is required for absolutely no reason other than kicks. The odds of you being one of those 1% are slim.

There have been many times when I have gotten out big binds while pulling a trailer load of cows through big deep mud holes

only because of the four wheel drive. There have also been times when I have taken the two wheel drive where I should have had

the four wheel drive and had to call the house and have someone bring a chain and the four wheel drive.

One doesn't always need it here, but depending on the weather, can use it right.

I see what your saying though, we're too dumb to know what we need.
