I have heard people on this forum talk of revolution, but it will never happen. We here on FR forget sometimes that we are a minority and a small one. Of the 280,000,000 people in this country a good number of them benefit from big, intrusive government and the programs it runs. Of those left most of them couldn't identify a picture of the president and don't really care that they can't. This country is much closer to 1930's Germany than 1770's America. They will pick us off one by one until those of us who care about the country and the direction it is headed will be fly on the proverbial elephants butt. What was the old story about the Nazi's; when they came for the Jews I did nothing, when they came for the Catholics I did nothing etc. Well that is where we are headed. Most of the people in this country don't know or care that our freedoms are slowly being eroded and that the Constitution has been shredded. I have neighbors and family members who couldn't tell you anything the Bush or the Congress has said or done in the last 14 month, and these people are educated hard-working, middle Americans. Nixon's silent majority was silent for a reason, they had know clue what was going on. We have gays running our schools and churches and nobody seems concerned. We now have, thanks to the "Patriots Act", draconian security measure on the books and nobody cares. We are soon going to have a law that takes away our right of politic free speech and nobody cares. The facts are there will be no revolution just a quiet sunset on a great experiment in freedon and self-rule. An experiment that sadly after 200 years failed because the majority of the people just didn't care. Socialism works because it allows people to be intellectually lazy. For a republic like ours to be successful people must be informed, committed and willing to work hard to make it successful, and there are not enough people in this country anymore that care.

I am reposting this for you because I don't want people to skip over your excellent comments because it isn't formatted. You see, I, too, have posted while passionate or po'ed and I know how it is:

"America is at that awkward stage.
It's too late to work within the system,
but too early to shoot the bastards."

Tovarich: The 'awkward stage' is ending quickly! Report to the nearest marginalized Libertarian-Maoist Freemen Militia people's compound for further instructions. (sheesh)
