Muslims do it too.

But "it" really does have so little in common with female genital mutilation that your comment is absurd. The male equivalent would be outright castration.

I would agree that a clitorectomy is more severe than a circumcision; however circumcision is male genital mutilation.

Most parents in this country who decide to have their boys circumcised do it out of tradition (whether social or religious) not due to the sanitary argument. For every doctor who promotes circumcision I could probably find 3 who say it's wholly unnecessary.

My real point being, Jews and Christians should criticize Islam over some of it's more substantial failings. There are weird European and South American "Christian" celebrations where blood is shed.
