"WOULD CONDI RICE AND COLIN POWELL BE "PRO-CHOICE" ON SLAVERY?"
Irrelevant to the question of abortion. If you don't like Rice and Powell and their policies/influence then just say so.
Personally, I find them less dangerous than I had anticipated when nominated. Powell was obviously much more a PR appointment for the media's benefit than anything else. I expected a little more from Rice but have been disappointed somewhat. Both are extremely overrated for top-level positions. I think this is one of the reasons Rumsfeld is playing such a strong role in the Bush administration. Rice and Powell are both weak players in actual practice. So the Secretary of Defense has become more prominent. Rumsfeld is fully ready for primetime. Rice is still inexperienced and Powell's experience never did him much good.
Considering that neither of them is especially effective in their appointed jobs, why does their opinion on abortion matter much? Especially when it's apparent that blacks won't vote Bush for any reason at all.

It will be too late to complain after Bush has already made such a move, so we need to let it be known now that it would be completely unacceptable.
