True, not now. But in the past most wars had a religious component. And most of those wars were between countries of predominately, if not exclusively, Christian beliefs.

If you would study World history and not just Western history I think you would find this statement nowhere near true.

Perhaps not. I was thinking more in terms of Europe during the renaissance and the consolidation of kingdoms/city states, etc.
