Christians used to be pretty hung up over blood, too. Read St. Catherin of Sienna. It's a big part of the Christian religion although in an entirely different context.
Just about everybody missed my point. If a Muslim read the bible, they could find things objectionable. What do they do when they get to the part where Jesus says if your right hand offends you to cut it off? Most of us know not to take that literally.
We went round and round on another discussion group where some Jews wanted the bible changed to expunge references to its portrayal of Jews in a negative light. Naturally I would object to that but also would I object to using the bible as an excuse to hate Jews. Likewise will I not use their Koran as an excuse to hate them.

Not only the Koran, listen to their preachers. Translations are available. You will not find Rabbis or Priests calling for the faithful to kill the non-believers, but their Imams do every Friday. Read the translations. They aren't hiding their beliefs, why should you hide from them? The only place where they obfuscate is in the US because they want to manipulate the fools and use our laws to our detriment.

"What do they do when they get to the part where Jesus says if your right hand offends you to cut it off?" The difference between Christianity and Islam is that under Islam, you'd never cut your own hand off. Far better to cut off your neighbor's.
