The threat that someone 'worse' will take his place means nothing to me. There is nothing worse than using the U.S. Constitution for toilet paper. I've been saying that for a week now, and it still is just as powerful.

Oh my goodness, you "real""pure" types are so funny. I remember hearing this exact same argument when Bush the elder was running for re-election. He lied, it can't get any worst than it is now. We'll vote third party, we'll sit out. That will teach'um. That will make them pay attention to us. What happened it got a lot worst. We got clinton, and the entire nation suffered from his disgrace. And the nation is still suffering.

Regardless of your passion about Bush's betrayal. It could get a lot worst. Remember Gore is considered a moderate by democratic standards. That's why nader ran against him. Clinton wanted to shut down talk radio. He talked about reinstating the "fairness doctrine". Which would have destroyed the conservative talk shows. I could see the democrats reenstating the fairness doctrine to shut down talk radio. And expanding hate crimes to shut down freerepublic. After all your honor, someone there posted a Bible verse saying Gay sex was wrong. Therefore they are resonsible for every bad thing that happens to gays. Don't laugh, the morning news/talk shows blamed Lott for Mathew Shepherd's death, because Lott said homosexuality was an illness.

Try living in an America where the gov't considers conservative ideas a crime. And don't get me started on how the rats attack private property rights. It can get a lot worst then this one betrayal.

I understand your point. I truly do. But when you keep on saying 'it could be worse,' there comes a time when you will come to the worst thing, and therefore it couldn't be worse.

In my opinion there is nothing worse than choking my freedom of speech and freedom of association.
