We Need You -- In the wake of the recent attacks on the United States, the Coast Guard Auxiliary will be called upon to provide essential services to the Coast Guard as they focus more heavily on their military missions.  We will need all the help we can get.  You needn't own a boat or even be an experienced boater, since our missions are wide-ranging.  For information about existing Auxiliary missions and the Auxiliary in general, go to our Join the Auxiliary webpage.  You will find there a form through which you can ask that a local Auxiliarist make contact with you to explore the ways in which you can assist Team Coast Guard
and, in the process, do something for our country in its hour of need.
Age 17 and up (no upper age restrictions) Click Here for details.

Thanks for the Ping. One of my uncles and my aunt were members of the Coast Guard for many, many years. He was unable to serve during WW2 because of medical reasons, but they both contributed much of their time to educating people to various forms of communications...the least of which was morse code and telecommunications.

You seem to be enjoying your association with the Coast Guard!

BUMP to your efforts and success!

Grunts.net Recommends... A Young American Hero is the title of a recently published biography about Staff Sergeant Hammett Lee Bowen, Jr., Medal Of Honor. Sergeant Bowen served in Vietnam with C Company, 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry, 25th Infantry Division, United States Army. He was killed in action on 27 June 1969, when his platoon was ambushed at a place known as the Spiderweb. His heroic actions that day were above and beyond the call of duty.

This highly researched, authorized biography....or Email USAEAGLE@iopener.net
