Speaking of sharing...... I fiddled around with Napster back in its heyday. But since it is gone, I've only tried one other sharing site (I think it was WINMX or something). For some reason it was way too slow, and there wasn't enough selection due to the relatively small number of users. What are the Best sharing sites/programs out there today?

What are the Best sharing sites/programs out there today? I use WinMX and have alot of success with it. But LimeWire, BearShare and the rest of the Gnutlla and Newtella clones are very popular.

Kazaa, Imesh, Limewire, etc. Kazaa is my favorite.

WinMX is by far the best sharing program for music. Speed Tip: Only download from Cable, T1, or T3 users.

try WinMx again, but read through http://www.trippymx.co.uk/ first. You can change your server list to allow many more popular servers and get thousands of songs for your queries.

I use Winmx. Like the other guy said, only download from people with T1 T3 or Dsl. Also, click on the "ping all results" button, and the ping numbers come up. Try to pick the lowest possible ping number. If its less than 100, it should download really fast. Whats cool about Winmx, is that, unlike Napster, if your download should fail, you can resume from where it got cut off, instead of having to start all over again. This is really useful if you're downloading long tracks, such as live mixes.
