Charley Reese hitting the nail on the head, again, as usual!
(sorry for the missing flag on earlier post)
And sadly no Constitutional Republic either. But we've got the union!! Oh, boy!! It's like trading beads for Manhattan and the South is the Indians. Excellent article by Reese. What's really unfortunate is that most of the media don't see this for what it really is. Let's say the SC legislature gives in one more time and moves the flag. Let's say it's moved to a private piece of property, monument and flag, lock, stock, and barrell. Give these racebaiters two years and they would be protesting it be taken out of the public eye.
This is not a war over race, it is a war for the rewriting of our nation's history to fit the PC crap that has been forced upon us. It is a war over the destruction of all that is Southern, and all that makes us who we are.
1. The problems the Civil War stuck us with -- overweening central government and its ramifying consequences -- are still with us, undiminished by time but magnified by the ambition of office-seekers and Rushmore wannabes.
2. Blacks still face problems with white racism, as when a black guy makes the wrong move in Crown Heights, South Boston, or anywhere within hog-calling distance of a two-time loser with jailhouse-Aryan butt-buddies and a sixpack inside him. Mutatis mutandis, a white woman I've met was relieved of her car at gunpoint last Monday in her own driveway a couple of blocks from here by a pair of black entrepreneurs who were not, let's stipulate it as fact, shopping in a black neighborhood. And there are plenty of places in America where it's worth your wallet, your car, or your life to go after dark, if you're white. But let's concede it, that there are places where white racism is still a problem for blacks.
3. "Black problems will start getting solved when blacks decide to give up the crutch of blaming whitey for their own mistakes and failures."
No, they will start getting solved when white RINO businessmen and liberal NGO's quit giving black shakedown artists and assorted race-pimps whatever they want just to avoid a boycott, or a protest, or TV demonstrations, or whatever is on offer. When they quit giving money, time, and attention to crumbums who are more part of the problem than part of the answer. When white businessmen swear off White Guilt, when they start respecting themselves in the face of demands for money, symbolic acts, and other people's jobs, and when they quit deciding that it's easier just to try to buy the race-pimps off, then we'll start to solve the problems.
THESE WORDS WILL BE CHISELED IN STONE AND PASSED DOWN TO MY DESCENDANTS.
Reese seems to be getting better (if that is possible) now that he is away from the Sentinel and all of the journalist swishes.
Long live the King of Commentary!
