Well, I almost jumped on that bandwagon, too. I thought for sure it was a straw purchase under federal law and the reason I was looking at the the 4473 was so I could quote the BATF and find the cite that shows it was a straw purchase. I was astonished to find that there is an exclusion for "legitimate gifts" to a third party.
