The only way for this to change is for the change to come internally. Islam needs to reform.
We know it can. Turkey is a modern democratic state where Islam has about the same influence as Christianity has in America. The state is secular and the religion is relatively benign.

We have at least several dozen places where God says that Ishmael has no neshamah, savable soul, and is just an animal (beast) in human form (pereh adam).
