My wife and I were seriously impressed by Boise, Idaho during our visit last year. Downside is cold in winter, but upside is great outdoor recreation just to the north. Do not know much about the schools as we are empty nesters.

I hope to get the hell out of the People's Republic of Eugene and move to a place like Idaho. South Carolina also did not seem too bad. Ladies love accents and South Carolina's accent would work just great.

Boise is being overtaken by liberals....and there are one-way streets! And when its windy.....its' windy!

Me, personally, I can't stand Boise....but then, I'm not a big city person.
