Sobran is getting more and more trivial (I guess it is the destiny of every mind overcome by hatred).

But the policy has backfired by getting lots of Jews killed too That is indeed breaking news: Jews are being killed as a result of Sharon's policies. There was no such thing, you see, before before Sharon. No wars launched by the Arab world against Israel. Not the Intifada of the early 1990s. No Israeli athletes killed at the 1972 Olympic Games. D-mn Sharon: Jews begin to be killed because of him.

One could also ask Sobran: where was he and his outrage when Arafat's thugs destroyed Lebanon and liberated it from its own citizens? Which claims to the land did these "fighters" have in Lebanon. One could also ask Sobran whether he remembers how Arafat's thugs got there. It is after they raised hell against the King of Jordan, who controlled the now disputed territories, and after the King forcefully suppressed Arafat's attempt to overtake Jordan by killing about 20,000 of his fellow Arab Muslims --- is after that Arafat's fighters moved to Lebanon.

Did any of that bother you, Mr. Sobran? Are you aware of these facts? Or, do you disregard things unless they deal with the Joooos?

treating Jews as Israel treats gentiles So Israel treats Palestinians in a way questionable by Sobran because of the… religious differences, because Palestinians are gentiles? Is there evidence of such things in the millennia past? Why does Israel concentrate only on the Muslim, Arab gentiles living on this particular land and does not treat any other gentiles similarly? Not the Egyptian gentiles, although they fought wars in the past; not Turkish gentiles, with whom they always had peace; not Hindu gentiles, not Christian gentiles. Somehow, Israel exhibits its hatred of gentiles only if you are (i) Muslim, (ii) Arab, (iii) live on disputed territories, and (iv) participate actively in terrorist acts.

What a moron you are, Mr. Sobran.

Another giveaway, which Freud would call a projection: Not all the members of the Amen Corner are Jewish. Many are Christians — a shameful fact, since they never raise their voices in defense of Palestinian Christians.

It does not even occur to this bigot that modern Christians and Jews do not align themselves along the lines of faith but with right against wrong, with good against evil. Presently, this is a distinguishing feature, prescribed indeed by Islam, of the Arab world.

In that sense, Mr. Sobran thinks like a medieval Arab and makes a projection on the rest of us.

war with Israel’s enemies, chiefly Iraq. If that happens, we probably won’t be as lucky as in the 1991 Gulf War, which ended with an easy American victory

We had "and easy victory" in part because Israelis bombed Iraqi nuclear installations ten years earlier. As G. Will pointed out, without the Israeli raid, "there would have been no Desert Storm." We would be restrained by the Iraqi nuclear capabilities.

Say "thank you," Mr. Sobran.

Do you suppose this is what the methane-breathing swamp-dwelling crackpot anti-Semite Sobran has in mind? --

Palestinians terrorize West Bank Christians in shakedown bid

Monday, March 11, 2002

RAMALLAH — The Fatah movement led by Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat last month launched a campaign against Christian churches and businesses around the West Bank in an attempt to extort money for local militias.

Palestinian sources said the focus of the Fatah attacks was in Ramallah, the headquarters of Arafat.

A mob led by Fatah militants attacked churches, Christian institutions and businesses during a two day period in early February. The sources said the attack was coordinated by Bashir Nafeh, a leading PA security officer and Fatah member.

The sources said the attack began on Jan. 31 when Muslims torched Christian homes and stores in Ramallah. The mob also attempted to break into the Greek and Roman Orthodox churches in the city and attacked Christians on the streets of the city. At least one Christian was killed.

The attack stemmed from Fatah attempts to force Christian businesses to pay a monthly sum to the militia. In the Kalandia refugee camp outside Ramallah, a Christian butcher refused to pay what was termed protection money and was stabbed to death.

Similar attacks were reported in Bethlehem and in the surrounding suburbs. But the largest campaign against the Christians was reported in Ramallah.

The original article is here.

I'll await with interest to hear Sobran raise his voice in defence of Palestinian Christians when it doesn't give him a chance to smear and vilify Jews. But I won't hold my breath.
