Well, du-uh--Ted's an American.

Of course you'd rather use Dumb and Dumber, your stooges--
But Ted named Michael Griffith, and Monaco law gives the defendant the right to choose who will defend him.
The law is something of no import to Monaco officials,
as Monaco interrogated Ted without attorney present,
and Monaco intercepted and confiscated client-attorney correspondence,
not to mention Monaco's three-day beat to extort Ted's false confession,
Monaco's kidnapping of Ted's wife and theft of her U.S. Passport,
and the three-year suppression of evidence, fabrication of false evidence,
framing of an innocent man, and keeping him muzzled all this time.
Monaco thus far is the true title-holder as "that sh!tty little country."
