So, Ted will be released on appeal, right?
Or, Ted will be paroled in two years at his first hearing?
Or, Ted will walk free, even if he's made to serve the full ten years?
Edmond Safra's cooperation with the FBI put certain people in jeopardy.

Lily changed the couple's citizenship to Monagasque effective the day of Edmond's death.
Sonia, Lily's agent, pencilled in Ted and Vivian at the last minute.
The police "lost" the emergency call tapes for the day of Edmond's death.
The prosecutor lied that Ted was on drugs; the hospital tested for these and its results were negative.
The police questioned and released two men of Middle Eastern descent in the underground parking garage.
The official documents note bruising of Ted's face, occipital and toes.
An early European rumor was that Maher had been recruited to play a role in an assassination.
The internet speculator said "a few years in prison followed by a big payday".
In South American drug trade parlance, this would be the plata to accompany the threat of violence on family members, the lead or plomo.
Plata o plomo, well-known to every South American judge and police officer: Take the silver or take the lead.
Yet there is no sign that the family which lost its home, car and belongings; its husband, father, brother, son, will see any plata.
The threats which produced and maintained the confession are unaccompanied by any judicial mercy or financial windfall.
