Sorry to complain, but for years, "Latest Posts" worked well to get around.
This is....icky.

I don't like it either, but if that's how it's gotta be. I would rather have it this way than not at all.

"also - self search has no way to move to other types of displays." Look for these words at the top of the page on the left: "Click here to view Articles Only. "

I'm conserative, is this change necessary?

You know, like a "Miss America" type statement from the Lead, Admin and Sidebar: "I believe in justice and freedom, and in the position of moderator, I will work tirelessly for world peace." Perhaps we need a more detailed description: "Today's moderator is sporting a crimson Versace bikini, similar to the one worn by SI swimsuit models. Look at those rock-hard abs."

Before the Framers gave us the Constitution, we had the Articles of Confederation......of course, change is necessary

The problem with the self search page is that it shows the full message, like a thread, images and all (worts and all). As you can see, there is no sidebar here on the thread. The reason is, TABLES dont obey commands when, say an image is larger than the width of the table, thus pushing the sidebars off to the right out of view. I suggested to John to put the sidebars on the left. Of course that will throw all the old farts into a tizzy because they hate change.
I will say this, John and Jim work hard to program this forum and it aint an easy task. You have to make it cross browser compatible, cross OS compatible, speedy, useful and still keep a captive audience...They are running a remarkable show if you ask me.

I'm getting used to the new format, and it is a necessary change, but I've got one thought that I'd like to toss out for others to opine on......It easy to fouget which forum you're on....so maybe they could be color coded.....the Reply/Private Reply..row...a diffeent color for each forum?

I will say this, John and Jim work hard to program this forum and it aint an easy task. I appreciate that.
But why does each thread suddenly come with a 'paragraph of intro' under the title? It didn't do that yesterday.

I liked Latest Posts the way it was, because it was easier to track the most active threads--that's half the fun!!!
(So what's the easiest way to track the busiest threads now?)
