I goy the best email once that had a document for your doctor to sign. There is ample space for him to list his credentials that qualify him to discuss firearms and firearms safety with you...the name of the course and institution that hosted the course. It also asks the doctor to sign a verification that his malpractice insurance covers any bad advice he gives in the event that the patient suffers loss of life or property due to the advice given by the doctor and in the event that his insurance does not cover this, that he agrees to be personally liable.
I'll have to find that and send it to you privately. I could just imagine doctors all over the country going pale-faced when their patients say "Hold on there a minute, Doc. Before we get in this discussion, I need you to sign something" and then whip out a little form for them to sign!
