If they know it is unconstitutional,

The Supreme Court will vet it's constitutionality, that's its' job.

This is just politics; if there is successful opposition to CFR from Republicans, the Democrats and their presstitutes will crucify them for supporting the "sell-out of politics to big corporations like Enron". That line will sell this election year. It stinks, but it's business as usual. We have fights we can win legislatively, like Bushes new tax deferral and small-business medical relief, that will put us back on the offensive.

Bullshit. These Senators violated their oath of office to uphold the Constitution by either voting or failing to oppose this clearly unconstitutional bill, and it looks like Dubya will do so as well. Any Senator who supported this bill should face censure and, if warranted, expulsion proceedings and, if Bush signs it, he should be impeached.

Tossing it off on the Court is just another lame excuse for gutlessness and dereliction of Congressional (and executive) duty. So much for "preserving, protecting and defending the Constitution.."
