"The ONLY campaign finance reform we need...
is to investigate...
and prosecute those who SUCCESSFULLY stole
the 1996 Presidential election using ILLEGAL money ... LOTS AND LOTS OF IT ...
... from foreign sources ...
most notably the COMMUNIST Chinese."

"And here is a case...
...(the Riady non-refund)

where CLEARLY someone(s) associated with the Clintons
and DNC violated serious laws. Yet ... Bush, Ashcroft and the GOP
have done NOTHING about it.
Here is a case that should be simple to prove ... because, by law,
there has to be a paper trail ... but Bush, Ashcroft and the GOP...
have just IGNORED IT."

* * * * * * * * * * * * *
"...have done NOTHING about it."

And quite obviously they're not going do anything about it.
Unless - prompted- by public outrage.

"It is time....... to ask yourself why.
It would appear that Bush/Ashcroft WANT the democRATS
to get away with introducing MILLIONS of dollars in ILLEGAL money
from Communist sources into the election process.
And having got away with it once,
does ANYONE think they won't do it again?
And it restricts,
in the final 30 days of a primary or 60 days of a general election,
those broadcast "issue ads" aimed at supporting or attacking a candidate."

* * * * * * * * * * * * *
"And it restricts ..."issue ads"

But lo, isn't it nice - that this restriction - does not apply to .............the average Joe.

"The legislation, passed by the House last month, would then go to the White House. President Bush, while never enthusiastic about the measure, has indicated he would sign it. "It's a very fine moment," said Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., the partner of Sen. Russ Feingold, D-Wis., in a seven-year odyssey by the two to change the way money is raised and spent in national elections."

These two guys represent Republican leadership and want to lead the fight to restore Constitutional law and our freedoms? What kind of fools are we to elect this kind of leadership. What state will secede first? Who is willing to fight for freedom? This is slavery and defeat. Before this is over Bush is going to make me ashamed that I was ever an American. And the Freepers who would support this are just as bad.

Everyone, the Congressman has given us some good info. I do not think he is a source that is not trustworthy. But, we still need to keep the pressure on Bush...if at the very least, just to let him know there are many who support a veto or whatever he may choose to do (except sign of course).

I sure hope so, because this is one that the media and the Dems will go to the mat for. They need it for everything else. We've got to win big in 2002, no choice about it.

Let's see. Who has misjudged "W" in the past? Who was wrong about him?

Ann Richards, The Texas Dems., The Texas Media, Various Texas Reps., The National Media, James Carville, Paul Begalla, add a bunch of ex-Clintonistas, JOHN MCCAIN and the rest of the other reps. in the presidential primary, AL GORE, JOE LIEBERMAN, bunch of people in Florida, David Boise and lot's of lawyers, many people in the US Senate & House, the Eurotrash and Eurotrash Media, Dan Rather, Peter Jennings, etc, etc, etc. Lot's of people in the middle east, Osama Bin Laden. Who am I forgetting?? Probably lots of people.

Don't add me to the list. I've watched this Texas good ol' boy for a lot of years. He is smart. Very smart. And a damn good poker player. Let's watch him play his hand out here and see what he is up to in the long term. And you can bet that's where his head is at. Around the corner. Thinking about the next card to play. And winning all the chips.

Remember the Internet Freedom Foundation (IFF)'s Black Web Site campaign, when Congress threatened to crackdown on Internet content (i.e., censorship)? One could cynically ask where are they and the ACLU are when CFR actually does threaten free speech via the Internet, but let's look beyond that obvious double standard liberal free speech advocates employ to further unstated agendas.

Maybe we should instead turn our web site backgrounds to red. Red would both denote our anger about Congress attempting to legislate away our Constitutional right to free (political) speech, but also to be a not so subtle reference to the communist tactics used to usurp our capitalist marketplace for political communications. It also brings to mind the blood shed by our troops to secure our right to free speech. And of course red has a psychological effect of inducing passion and tension.

And here is our poster boy to tell 'em what they can do with CFR.

A photo of the Capital building with a red tint might be and interesting ploy too.

Statement by the President

For Immediate Release
Office of the Press Secretary
March 20, 2002
Statement by the President

Like many Republicans and Democrats in the Congress, I support common-sense reforms to end abuses in our campaign finance system. The reforms passed today, while flawed in some areas, still improve the current system overall, and I will sign them into law.

The legislation makes some important progress on the timeliness of disclosure, individual contribution limits, and banning soft money from corporations and labor unions, but it does present some legitimate constitutional questions. I continue to believe the best reform is full and timely disclosure of campaign contributions.

The George W. Bush Lie

ABC News's This Week on January 23, 2000:

GEORGE F. WILL: I want to see if you agree with those who say it would be bad for the First Amendment? I know you're not a lawyer, you say that with some pride, but do you think a president, and we've got a lot of non-lawyer presidents, has a duty to make an independent judgment of what is and is not constitutional, and veto bills that, in his judgment, he thinks are unconstitutional?

GOV. BUSH: I do.

WILL: In which case, would you veto the McCain-Feingold bill, or the Shays-Meehan bill?

BUSH: That's an interesting question. I — I — yes I would.

LIAR - George W. Bush

I agree and I do vote for the "best" choice available. I don't particularily like the negative slant of "lesser of two evils". I left the GOP. The Republican Party as "it" (the Party) by the action taken by it's leaders (congressional in the main) no longer represents enough of my ideology for them to curry my support, other than in the voting booth, but I would not guarentee that either.

And of course the DemocRATS are as you said without any moral compass and in my view, for the most part, evil. But, having said that, I really do believe that Republicans in the main (elected at national level) also are selling their Constitutional compass simply for expediency and most importantly for raw "political power".

Yes the DemocRATS are worse, but in degrees only when it comes to fidelity to the Constitution and Oath of Office.

And while I do believe Mr. Bush will sign the CFR, I think it is a mistake as there is a point in which one should not sell out principle. If he signs it, in it's current form, he will be pulling a "Pontius Pilot" and that is wrong, or at least in my view.

Will I abandon him? NO, but my support will be grately muted.

Listen, I have been around long enough and have enough "hands on" experience to understand how the "politcal game" and for that matter how our "Representative System of Government" works. I just am tired of actively supporting by my words, deeds, and money a party that is not un-yielding in its support and defense of OUR Constitution.

"Writer Jack Colhoun revealed some details of that stock sale, referring to Bush by his childhood nickname “Junior”:

On June 22, 1990, George Jr. sold two-thirds of his Harken stock for $848,560-a cool 200 percent profit. The move was well timed. One week after Junior sold his stock, Harken announced a $23.2 million loss in quarterly earnings and Harken stock dropped sharply, losing 60 percent of its value over the next six months. On August 2, 1990, Iraqi troops moved into Kuwait and 541,000 U.S. forces were deployed to the Gulf."

Here I thought that James Ring Adams was the first to point that out. The "Jr." part, that is :-)
