You are correct: I have ZERO children. Which may be part of my point. If I had teenage daughters, I would probably be very concerned about their behavior. But would I do myself any good by lamenting some other guy's kid's behavior?

Moral standards have been stretching, bending, and sometimes breaking for decades, if not centuries. One could write an equally exasperated essay on those darned pot-smokers, drag racers, Ravers, or whatever specific deviation from the ideal you choose. And I agree that a massive relinquishing of social standards would have an impact on society. I just don't think that's happening.

I'm sure there are plenty of little chippies out there making lots of young men very happy. But I don't think they are the majority.

Having children does change one's perception.

I was a hedonist in my youth ...actually up to around 30 or so...but I never treated women shamelessly...even if they were drunk or drugged and compromised ...and I was responsible.

I just don't think single women emulating pornstars is such a good idea for them or society. Unless a woman is dogfood ugly, her sex is her real power...along with her brain of course...grovel..grovel.

regards

You have been out of touch. By the time that most girls leave high school, they are well-seasoned.

But is is having a very bad impact. We have a 30% out of wedlock birthrate. This is not good for the next generation of humans.

Behavior insofar as promiscuity of youth (boys and girls) has probably only changed slightly since the late 60s and early 70s (my era). The difference between that time and the preceding eras is stark contrast. The use of the pill really only encouraged premarital sex and did little to stem abortions after Roe V Wade. It's an epidemic to say the least.

Women have been somewhat chaste in most societies prior to the sexual revolution and for good reason. Pregnancy. Marital viability, etc.

If one looks at E! or MTV or whatever, a reasonable person could conclude that young women are at least in part behaving the same as druken young male sybarites. I for one do not think this is a positive development but I would refrain from the use of the word "whore" except for women who are actually paid for their services....even then I prefer "prostitute". Slutty behavior is not by default whoreishness.
