Do you have substantiation for that statistic? I'm not saying you're wrong--it just seems high. The CDC Website places the total number of infections at 45 million, or about 20% of the adolescent and adult population. I'd be interested if you have a link to documentation for the higher statistic you cite for single young adults.

No, my point stands just fine if the number's 20%. That's one in five. Taking a one-in-five shot at getting an incurable disease doesn't sound like "responsible behavior" to me. (And you know very well that promiscuous people are sleeping with other promiscuous people, and a higher percentage of promiscuous persons will be infected than you would find in the general population, so it's actually guaranteed to be worse than a 1 in 5 chance for the promiscuous.)
