My ignorance is showing here. After looking around the Cornell Review site, I was pleased with what I found.

It looks to be a great place for conservative values being presented to a historically liberal community.

I don't see why a "Mr Mom" type arrangement won't work. If mom wants to go to work while dad cleans the house and takes care of the kids I see no reason that couldn't be a happy, healthy home.

Forgive my lack of moral outrage, but is there a particular reason why I should give a crap whether "college girls" these days are giving it up faster than a Frenchman at a schnitzel stand? Now, I don't have a problem with people "judging" this type of thing, but how exactly is this any of my business?

I was particularly intrigued with the author's statement regarding whores, along the lines of "at least they make a buck". Well, one might argue that the current generation of sluts is enjoying themselves. Maybe it's worth it to them.

I guess we can lament this change in standards, but I doubt it is of any great consequence to those who aren't living them.

In an earlier era, young women who chose to engage in sex were socially ostracized and their behavior denounced. Today, if a young woman engages in a one-night-stand (“random hook-up”) she is a liberated studette.

But she is still a whore. I know that we would like to think that young women are liberated and that men now treat a tramp other than a tramp. Sorry, thats liberal la-la land and its not true.

The truth is that women actually lose power by becoming tramps. When they give away one of their main sources of bargaining power in a relationship – sex – men gain total power by achieving everything they want…free sex with no obligation.

This attitude is, as my dear departed Daddy used to say, "Why buy (and maintain) the cow when you can get the milk for free!" Until women begin DEMANDING better behavior from men, the situation will not change. The reason men behaved better in earlier times was because they knew that to be able to engage in sexual behavior with the woman of their choice, they had to provide for her and their offspring. Until that happens again, we'll continue this downward moral slide. So ladies WE HAVE THE POWER and we need to teach our daughters (and sons) this salient fact!!

I always knew the brightest of the skateboarding generation would come of age as a very, very, conservative group. Who among them could not be fed up with the self-absorbed Boomers and GenXers?

The fact that NOBODY has taken them seriously has just added fuel to the fire.

So keep an eye out for many, many more like this brave young man. Writes what he thinks, and doesn't care where the chips fall.

And believe me, he is going to get some email, over this essay, from the PC crowd.

America was founded by this sort of individual.

One who would be, (and may already be, who knows?) very much like the FReepers.
