Thank God I live in Kern County. You can't be elected sherrif here if you are not liberal with issuing permits. You have to have a reason, but I don't think they look too closely at your reason for needing the CCW. Mine took 2 months and $156. (plus a training class).I feel blessed living in Boise County (Boise is in Ada county) in Idaho. My CCW took one month and $50. As a vet, no training class necessary.
