paying $10.00 or more, foir a ticket, AND still have to still through 15-20 minutes of commericals...BEFORE all the trailers....

I was going to ask what state you live in, then I checked your info .... figures....New York. How can you guys put up with that? 15 minutes of commercials after you paid top dollar for a movie?

I guess that's just their way of telling you, if you're not an executive making upper six figures, you need to get out of town and make room, so Sport can park his Lexus.

Wish FR could charge

The reason FR has been so successful is because Jim has not charged, thus avoiding a significant barrier to participation.

What do you think would happen if he did start charging? Think about it. My guess is that within five minutes someone would put up a site very similar to FR that was free and most people would go there. I am neither condoning nor condemning such a thing - but I think that is what would happen. The user base would adapt.

There's no way I or millions of other web surfers will pay for anything on the net. Period. Other people WILL put up sites that don't charge. American Greetings can shove it, their cards were awful anyways. I miss Blue Mountain, but guess what? Yahoo has free cards! And I've used their cards! No problem! So, they can bleat to those who are going to pay, but for MOST websurfers they won't pay.

During the first year it charged a fee, online magazine Salon.com signed up 33,000 subscribers who pay $30 annually or $6 monthly.

This year, subscriptions will bring in more than $1 million, estimated Salon vice president Patrick Hurley.

Oh yeah.  Sure.  If it wasn't for the liberal life support Salon.com has gotten, they would have been gone a long time ago.

Free weather program --> www.weatherbug.com

It's the best weather program I've seen, but if someone knows of a better free weather program, please let me know.
