It sounds like her family are nothing but fruitcakes too who did little to help Andrea out of that situation. They couldn't have really been very loving if they let their own daughter/sister stay in that condition. Enough blame to go around I think to many.

They couldn't have really been very loving if they let their own daughter/sister stay in that condition. Think about it: A family can't come in and intervene between husband and wife. Whatever the husband (or wife) says, goes. The parents (of a spouse) can not do anything.
Wasn't there a case not too long ago that involved a husband of a woman who was on life support and he wanted to discontinue feeding her. The parents had to go to court and I think ultimately lost (I think). Of course, Andrea Yates family could have gone to court, I presusme.
