Can't you imagine him banning Andrea from the Master bedroom - or making her sleep on the floor, saying - "You stink. You disgust me." And she perhaps WANTED to disgust him so he would not touch her and try to impregnate her again. Perhaps when she gains enough strength and knows she is 'safe' from him, she will speak. But then, who will believe her? I see him as evil personified. I'm sure he egged her on and was disappointed that she didn't do herself in while she was at it.

He probably also told her that the kids were all going to hell because she was doing such a lousy job of raising them. She told the police something like: She had to kill them because she had to save them from going to hell because they had behavior and learning problems. I can see her getting that idea from Rusty berating her.
