From the book BREAKING POINT by Suzi Spencer p.45

In college, perhaps it was in 1984, he heard a "kina quiet and simple" preacher who proclaimed a message of serving Jesus, not serving the church. Rusty Yates listened. He listened, too, as teh "quiet and simple" preacher traded barbs with a "fat cat preacher" standing across the way.

(still quoting)..The barbs the "quiet and simple" preacher exchanged wer the same ones Rusty would have thrown. He was impressed with the preacher. And his message of serving Jesus, not the church, freed Rusty Yates. He suddenly felt he didn't have to go to church; he was privileged enough, he said, to open the Bible himself. And he did.

He also corresponded with the preacher for the next year or two. At the end of that time, he was talking on the phone to his mother and told her, " I think I'm pretty much beginning to believe this stuff." With those words, "joy came over me". He finished telling his mother what he had to say, and then said it all over again because he was " so joyful." That joy, said Rusty Yates, was the Holy Spirit. " From your innermost being will flow rivers of living water." he quoted from John 7:38.

For the next few years after college, he and the preacher no longer corresponded. Then, after he met Andrea Kennedy, Yates corresponded with him about " once a year or so" The preacher's name was MICHAEL WORONIECKI. "

I did not copy this from the book for people to get into a discussion of scripture..rather, I typed it to show that the influence of this preacher got into Rusty in college..he stuck with it..introduced it to Andrea..got her indoctrinated..then..they contacted the Woroniecki's again and became GOOD FRIENDS with them. They had them over to the campground where they lived in their bus. Oh! incidentally, the preacher too LIVED IN A BUS..AHEM!!

Andrea corresponded with the preacher's wife for several years, and got this teaching pumped into her. I mean PUMPED into her! All the Satan stuff.

The scriptures were right. God's Word is right..but in the hands of false teacher's..who pour into the minds of people who cannot rightly divide the truth, it can be lethal.

Good News For The Day

‘Forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead, I press on towards the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.’ (Philippians 3:13,14)

The Word remember occurs often in Scripture." ‘Remember now thy creator in the days of thy youth…’ ‘This do in remembrance of me…’ ‘Thou shalt remember all the way the Lord thy God hath led thee…'

"Remembrance is essential to genuine religion. And so is forgetfulness. Remembering and forgetting are two sides of the same coin. True forgetfulness means the discovery of something else worth remembering. It is the displacement of one remembrance with another, which is more ennobling. Paul only forgot what was behind as he focused on the prize toward which God had called him. We should all forget. But only on the condition that we aspire."

"Everyone makes mistakes. It is part of our heritage that we are capable of them. An oyster makes no mistakes. It doesn't have a mind that will permit it to abandon it instincts. It is not good to wander around in the cemetery of our blunders, reading epitaphs of past errors and opportunities lost. Michelangelo formed his famous statue of David the shepherd by using a block of marble, that had been seriously flawed by a previous sculptor. Similarly, it is possible for us to produce good by allowing our mistakes to be swallowed up with better things."

"No-one is exempt from sorrow. Therefore, much human happiness depends on forgetting what has happened to us by contemplating the blight that rests on others. When John Bright's young wife lay dead in the family home, he was visited by Richard Cobden, who sought to comfort him. After words of consolation had been spoken, Cobden looked up and said, 'There are tens of thousands of homes in England at this moment, where wives, mothers and children are dying of hunger. Now, when the first paroxysm of grief is past, I would advise you to come with me and we will never rest until the Corn Law is repealed.’ Bright accepted the invitation and plunged himself into a campaign to relieve the sufferings of others. Thus he escaped the crushing weight of his own sorrows."

"Guilt is also an affliction that needs forgetting. But it is only treated thus when there is a far worthier preoccupation to take its place. Paul was able to leave behind the guilty remembrance of crimes against the Church only as he found new and superior pursuits. He did not have enough time or mental space to accommodate wasteful agonizings over past sins. Robert Louis Stevenson prayed, 'Help us with the grace of courage, that we be, none of us, cast down when we sit amidst the ruins of our happiness or our integrity…that we may be up and doing to rebuild our city'."

"May God grant you a sacred forgetting of all that would... keep you---from a wholesome and fruitful sojourn in this world."

"...and the mom said she was there 13 hours a day."

Okay, here is something that puzzles me. If Mom was there 13 hours a day, then why wasn't there a clean glass in the house (according to Russell, himself) when he came home to find that the kids were dead, and the police offered him a glass of water to help him calm down? How can relatives have been there helping out all the time, and the house be such a terrible, filthy mess (as I remember it described as being by the police)? Doesn't anybody in the family know how to clean up, and if it's too much for Mom alone, then call in some other relatives to come in and help out. Certain things that these people say just don't add up to me.

"Who would have to be more insane? Rusty's new girlfriend, or the Nichole look-alike hanging out with OJ?"

My question, too. If we didn't know it already, there are plenty of nutso people out there, male and female, both.

"The formal sentencing is scheduled for today in Houston. Interesting, he has chosen to fly to New York for an interview instead of being at Andrea's sentencing. So much for his support for Andrea."

Did Rusty not also walk directly out of the courtroom almost immediately following the guilty verdict WITHOUT making any attempt to comfort Andrea? That's what I saw. First he was sitting down with his head in his hands, and then he was up and out the door without so much as a glance in Andrea's direction. If something was left out of the videotape that I saw, and he did, in fact, hug his wife or take her hands, I would like somebody to correct me.

What I saw, I thought was strange given his protestations of total support for his wife.

Yep, he bolted out the door after he gave the media enough time to capture his head in his hands with Mother Dora rubbing his head. Oh, and he filed out WITH his stuffed brief case.

Love your screen name and glad you are QUEEN of your land. LOL

"The removal of condemnation is the dissolution of legal bondage, and of that awful pressure upon the conscience which at once enslaved and irritated; disenabling as well as disinclining us from all obedience; making holiness both distasteful and dreadful, to be submitted to only through fear of future woe."

"Sin, when unforgiven, oppresses the conscience and tyrannizes over the sinner. Sin forgiven in an unrighteous way, would be but a slight and uncertain as well as imperfect relief. Sin righteously and judicially forgiven, loses its dominion. The conscience rises up from its long oppression, and expands into joyous liberty. Our whole being becomes bright and buoyant under the benign influence of this forgiving love of God. "The winter is past, the rain is over and gone, the flowers appear on the earth, the time of the singing of birds is come" (Song 2:11,12).

"Condemnation is the dark cloud that obscures our heavens. Forgiveness is the sunshine dissolving the cloud, and by its brilliance making all good things to grow and ripen in us."

"Condemnation makes sin strike its roots deeper and deeper. No amount of terror can extirpate evil. No fear of wrath can make us holy. No gloomy uncertainty as to God's favour can subdue one lust, or correct our crookedness of will. But the free pardon of the cross uproots sin, and withers all its branches. The "no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus" is the only... effectual remedy---for the deadly disease of an alienated heart and stubborn will."

"Our whole being becomes bright and buoyant under the benign influence of this forgiving love of God."

...Something positive--cheerful--good--uplifting!

You left out something. He was sitting down with his head in his hands...(then he glanced up to see where the camera was)...I didn't see what he did after that because I only saw a clip.

He is a slimy snake...and heis to blame for this too. He never helped Andrea.

I heard him read a letter that ANdrea wrote describing how wonderful each of the kids was....WELL...HELLO..if they were so wonderful why did she kill them? IF she was A BAD MOTHER...why didn't she just kill herself? This is SO TWISTED!

ANother thing...I mentioned this before......did you ever see Andrea's sister do an interview? I could not figure out if it was a girl or a boy! It dressed like a girl..but looked like a boy and talked like a boy. I think there is something geneticly mixed up in that family.

Yes, I sure did see him look up for a brief moment. That may well have been what he was doing.

Read Suzie Spencer's book " BREAKING POINT ".

I have a few questions that may be answered in the book.

1. Do you know what sect this evangelist was a part of?

2. Rusty's mother was supposed to be there about an hour after Rusty left. Did she ever show up? I would think that she would have shown up before the police got there or at the very least while they were there.

3. Did the book comment on Rusty's statement to the police that Andrea told him, "I finally did it." when she called him at work to come home?

Head down trying to muster up a tear and looking up to see if the camera is rolling? Hmmm.. ever see the video of William Jefferson Clinton at the Ron Brown funeral yucking it up and laughing until he caught the camera watching him? He pretends to cry and wipe a fake tear.

Can't you imagine him banning Andrea from the Master bedroom - or making her sleep on the floor, saying - "You stink. You disgust me." And she perhaps WANTED to disgust him so he would not touch her and try to impregnate her again. Perhaps when she gains enough strength and knows she is 'safe' from him, she will speak. But then, who will believe her? I see him as evil personified. I'm sure he egged her on and was disappointed that she didn't do herself in while she was at it.
