Texas was the state of Lyndon Johnson years ago, and lately, the state of George Bush. The latinos were a small enough group so as not to dominate politics. And all you had to do is go out and speak a little halting spanish to them, and they would come around. The idea that they would come around sparked the idea of allowing more of them in with the idea of using them. Now the Angelo population, including Democrats, is finding themselves numerically overwhelmed and is running scared. The Anglos have no where to go.
