McAwful kept saying that granting amnesty is the kind thing to do because, after all, "they're here." Tancredo and the hostess (I think her name is Diane Dimond) kept saying, "Well, yeah, they're here, but the only reason they're here is because they snuck in!" HELLO!!! LOL And they said that McAwful would have to come up with a better reason to amnesty them than just the fact that "they're here." McAwful brought up how glad he is his Irish ancestors came here, and Tancredo asked him if his ancestors had come legally, and McAwful had to admit that they had. Then Tancredo pointed out that nobody had said anything against
legal immigration. Tancredo also made the point that not all the beneficiaries of 245(i) were Mexicans, but also people from the Middle East or anywhere, for that matter. He made a lot of good points, like how 245(i) makes suckers out of people who are waiting their turn to immigrate here legally. McAwful's point was that it's mainly Mexicans who are coming here, and "they're hard workers" and "they're here."
It ended in a shouting match with both men talking over each other. It was hard to make out what they were saying at that point, but McAwful got a bit hysterical, accusing Tancredo of just not wanting people to come here. Tancredo kept saying, "You're wrong, you're wrong, you're wrong," and he ended with some sort of insult...calling McAwful "fool" or "stupid" or something like that. I like this Tancredo guy! LOL
Thanks for telling us what happened. I was hoping Tancredo would of hit that racebaiter over the head with a sledgehammer. I really like Tancredo. I am going to contribute to his campaign when and if he runs for re-election.
