For anyone who hasn't seen it, go download the Seinfeld episode "THE COUCH." It's actually a brilliant political commentary about how ridiculous pro-abortion advocates are that they have no tolerance for people who don't agree with them on this one issue. In this episode, Elaine decides she can't eat at a restaurant because the owner is pro-life. So then Jerry dares her to ask her wonderful new boyfriend what his stance on abortion is. Elaine is crushed when the guy she said was "too good looking to be pro-life" tells her he hopes someday the Supreme Court will rule against Roe v. Wade. She of course breaks up with him.
Larry Elder was saying this week that to liberals, Simon is an extreme right wing staunch conservative because, knowing nothing else about him, he is pro-life-- and for liberals, well, that's all they need to know.

Thats why I always attempt to tell my non political friends (who are generally conservative) when it doubt (about a candidate's stance on other issues) always vote for the one that is pro-life. Even if that's not a big issue to you (as it is for me) you generally end up with the most conservative person.
Interesting that you mention Seinfeld. In another episode George and Ellain goto a 'psychic' who is pregnant and smoking cigarettes. Ellain has a hissy fit. In keeping with liberal hypocrisy she detested pro-lifers but got all cazy about this woman smoking while pregnant. Apparently it's ok to kill your baby but you better not smoke before you do it.
