We have Puerto Rico that has received $100's of billions of U.S. Taxpayer's dollars over the past 100 years. They'll receive around $20 billion dollars of U.S Taxpayer's dollars, in cash, next year, alone. Even after all of that, they're more like Cuba than they'll ever be like the United States. Sure there is a PERCENTAGE of Hispanics that might identify culturally with the United States, but we need a controlled immigration process that will screen them out of the hoards that wish to trample our borders, laws and rights to get here.
Not one of these law-breakers should be allowed to remain in the United States, not one.

Latino legal immigrants are, but not Latino illegal immigrants. They are criminals and criminals are no "culturally conservative".

If Latinos are such a "natural fit" for the Repubs where's the proof? Why did all election districts with Latin majorities go for Gore? Why do these districts send Dems to Congress. There are plenty of Latinos in the U.S. now and they are not primarily Republicans. The actions of some Latino Americans alienate (sorry about the pun) many Americans.

Blacks are culturally conservative, much more than whites, yet they vote 98% Dem. Jews, by class interests alone, should be align with Repubs, yet they will vote 90% dems. Its complex and something of a mystery, but you are wishful thinking if you think Latios will turn Repub.
Generally a person who does not make alot of money and has a wage earning orientation rather than a small business orientation will vote Dem (the party of more benefits) every time.

Laugh laugh laugh. That's actually funny because there is very wide support among these so-called conservatives for a politician with drug-lord ties (he doesn't deny his businesses were laundering drug money), he is pro-abortion, pro-gay rights, extremely for affirmative action, for socialized health care. When offered a choice between a moderate democrat Hispanic --Morales, they clearly made the choice for the liberal Socialist.
Also, as Hispanics assimilate ( or rather become radicalised by extremists) they become less conservative.
