At one point we had 3 nannies and 6 baby goats. I milked the nannies and bottle fed the babies. The baby goats were a riot to take for a walk. They would run and jump and click their heels together. Their hoof prints were so tiny compared to the nannies.

One afternoon our herd got out and decided to eat our closest neighbors favorite rose bush. Boy was he mad. I got a royal chewing out.

The couple of weeks later I stopped by to let him know that I was on my way to the big city (which was an hour away)and that I planned to replace his rose bush. I needed to know the color that he wanted. His wife was laughing her head off. Seems that the rose bush had come back with a vengence and was getting ready to bloom like crazy, something that he had never been able to get it to do. Apparently the rose bush wasn't being trimmed back enough for it to bloom properly and the goats took care of the problem.

That is understandable. The best lemon crop I ever had was after a doe got out and "pruned" it back severely.
