They won't be "further confirming" anything, because they never confirmed it in the first place. Nevertheless, at least two months ago there were newspaper articles implying, but carefully not stating, that such sub-typing was a done deal. Why? If you have followed this story closely, you should have noticed by now that the press is always pushing some bogus line about the anthrax -- that's it's natural, that it's criminal but not terroristic, that it's likely brewed up by some hayseed militiaman in a mountain shack, that it's the work of a pissed-off, lawnmower-wielding government contractor, etc. Only, one after another, these stories melt away. And yet, we know that Cheney and his staff were put on Cipro on the night of 9-11-2001. George W. Bush and Dick Cheney never believed that Bob Stevens caught inhalation anthrax from a mountain stream -- not for one second, count on it -- but that was the explanation the authorities encouraged us to believe. Why this disconnect? If you think about the box Saddam has put Bush in, if you think about what Bush's options are, you'll see that the disconnect is utterly explicable. Time and again on this forum, I have predicted that no culprit will be identified, that the government will continue to stall, to foment but never comfirm rumors of a domestic source, and that there will be no attack on Iraq. So far, my predictions have been holding up rather well, if I say so myself.
And since I saw 'South Park: The Movie', my guess is that Satan does know a thing or two about Saddam.
"But I can change..."
And I guess that next you're going to tell us that former Texas governor Bill Clements is also to blame? After all, he was in charge down here in '81 when that Texas A&M University lab sent the anthrax from the dead cow to USAMRIID.
As a matter of fact, let's just blame those #$@% Aggies in College Station, too. They should have some culpability in this, too, doncha think?
And what about the Texas veterinarian who actually sent the tissue sample, Dr. Vickers? He should be thrown in the mix too, shouldn't he? And let's don't forget to throw in the owners of the 26,000-acre ranch near Hebbronville, TX that owned the dead cow. For that matter, shoot, just throw in all of Corpus Christi - they're only a few hours east of the ranch.
Ya know, if you really wanted to get technical about all this...
What about the 14-month old heifer cow that started this whole @#$% thing?
What ya wanna bet her name was "Amey?"
You're trying to say that not only did former President Bush mail some anthrax to Iraq and Saddam back in the '80's, but also that he left Saddam in power so Saddam could be used later by his son as "a useful tool?"
And you're saying that now-President George W. Bush planned the 911 attacks so he could continue carrying out his father's Grand Plan for Worldwide Domination? So he could pass the Patriot Act and continue carrying us into the New World Order?
And that President George W. Bush is prohibiting the FBI from arresting the person(s) who did the anthrax attack so he can use them in future terrorist attacks? Terrorist attacks that are a "useful tool" in reaching the New World Order?
And you're saying that those terrorists who "received training at secure U.S. military installations in the 1990s" by Clinton's military are now being protected by Bush's people?
Is that what you're telling me? And you're using a Ted Koppel quote to assist your agenda of tainting former President Bush's reputation? With all due respect, I thought your use of the Washington Post, Barbara Rosenberg, and Salon.com was bad, but Ted Koppel goes way beyond the pale.
I find it interesting that you assume those "top Justice Department and FBI officials" who denied the FISA surveillance are Bush people. Who are they? What are their names? Do you have their identities? How do you know they aren't Clinton holdovers? And has it ever occurred to you that the Justice Dept and the FBI has covert Arab apologists and protectors among their ranks who aren't the least bit interested in catching Arab terrorists?
Your writing style is vaguely familiar...
Regardless, I commend you on your research and for not telling me to GTH. :)
The "Ames strain" as the identifying characteristic is a red herring. While it is true that the mailed anthrax was of the Ames strain, the characteristic that pins it to the U.S. military and CIA is the one trillion spores per gram concentration of the mailed anthrax. No other country in the world has been able to achieve more than half that concentration.
The process was developed by William Patrick who holds five secret patents on the process. He has extensive ties with the CIA and military at Ft. Detrick.
There are only abut five locations from which the anthrax could have come. All have direct or indirect ties to the CIA.
If Saddam or any other foreign entity came into possession of the anthrax, it was furnished to them by one of the five locations.
Finally, Rosenberg has backed off of her original position in that she is supporting the "rogue" U.S. expert theory. If the CIA was involved, it would have been with the approval or at the direction of higher authority.
I don't buy the "rogue" theory for a second.
And how about our Israeli allies? I generally support Israel and don't have much tolerance for murderous Islamic extremists, but when the report came out that Israel had Mossad agents in this country who probably knew about 9/11 and that some of them had been p[osing as Israeli "art students," well no one wanted to believe them. But a DEA document has been leaked that outlines that agency's tracking of Mossad Agents in the US, posing as "art students." Now who are we supposed to believe? Who knew? Who had a hand in it? And who's desperately trying to cover their backsides with a hailstorm of BS?
Did I fail to mention Ken Alibek, William Patrick, Bioport and their connection to the CIA? Project Jefferson anyone? A Russian strain of anthrax you say? Gee, isn't Alibek a Russian? Oh, but the project is purely defensive in nature. Hurrrumph, hurrrumph. Who was it that got the contract to produce the anthrax vaccine? Oh yeah. Bioport. Hmmmmm, now who has investments in Bioport? Jade, I'll let you take it from here.
