Ah yes the scenario described in reply #3 is being played out. Would you want a president who didn't care anything about the opinion of the American people? Who didn't respond to objections from them? I hope he does take what Americans want into account so that he doesn't just take orders from Fox. We didn't elect Fox to anything so he should just keep his mind on Mexico and work on reforming it.

It wasn't widely reported, if at all, but Bush said at that press conference last week, that the vote in Congress wasn't for "blanket amnesty." He also said "the American people do not want blanket amnesty."
