One thing that struck me as odd, during the whole trial Russell and the WHOLE family testified that Andrea was mentally ill, but they allowed her to care for the children.
I know that the grandmother helped but she wasn't due at the house til 9am, that left Andrea 1 hour alone with her kids....a fatal mistake.
Now common sense tells me that if I thought someone was so ill, he/she shouldn't be left alone for any length of time with children....I think there is enough blame to go around for the whole family.
