Didn't he say in his press conference yesterday, that HE KNEW Andrea wasn't on her meds for at least two weeks prior to the drowings of her children? Didn't he say that he had been warned she could become "psychotic" if she didn't take her meds.

So it isn't hard, here folks. He was AWARE she wasn't on her medication, and he knew there were going to be episodes because of it. Still, knowing this, he left HIS children in her care. Unbelieveable.

He's culpable.

Absolutely correct- and it's not just in hindsight that we can see this. It should have been absolutely clear to anyone with normal intelligence that he was placing these children in danger (I won't go into the mother's history- but multiple suicide attempts are one indicator of future violence). I'm sure that he was aware of many things about her behavior and apparently bizarre belief system that even her doctors were not familiar with, let alone the public.

If he had left a DOG alone with this woman under these circumstances, Animal Control would be after him for abuse.

By the way, I REALLY didn't like his inappropriate smiling and joking after the sentencing- I think this guy has more than one loose screw...

Prepare to get flamed. I happen to agree 110% with you. He knew. She had a long history of problems. He knew his children might be in danger, yet he left them alone with that "woman" every day.

If my wife so much as even JOKED about doing something harmful to our children, I'd have them and me outta here in a heart-beat. A parent's first obligation is to their CHILDREN.

Damn' right he's culpable.

Let's not mention the fact that he was told they should not have anymore children. He wants to blame the medical community, but he wouldn't even follow their recommendations! He can't have it both ways. I assume she had to go off of some meds during the pregnancies as well.

The problem with indicting him, and even her doctors, is that none of the parties had foreknowledge she was likely to harm anyone. Without that (legalese) factor, he will likely win acquittal if charged. She had not harmed anyone before and, based upon her past behavior, the best available predictor of her actions would have been her prior behavior.

By all means he should be charged with murder as well. All the prosecution would have to prove was that he was obviously psychic and knew that she would DROWN all 5 kids that day.

Yep it should have been clear as a bell to him, I mean everybody on this thread would have been able to predict this would happen, mothers drown all 5 of their kids all the time.
