This must work on somebody or the Nigerians would not keep on doing it.

Why are the vast majority of these scams done by Nigerians, I wonder? You'd think there are a lot of other nationalities that would try this. But the only ones I've ever received have been from Nigerians.

It's not Nigerians who are doing it. Chances are, someone in Western Europe came up with this scam. There have been other variants: the South African money scam, the Nigerian Oil Ministry Scam, something about Tanzania, and of course, this weeks fundraising letter from the DNC.

The sad thing is, people send these Yahoo adresses their checking account numbers. Suckers!

There's a Palm Beach County Voter in every bunch.

"This must work on somebody or the Nigerians would not keep on doing it."

Oh yeah, it definitely works on some people. My late father-in-law, for example. He received a phone call from a similar operation requesting that he send a $1000 cashier's check in order to claim a winning lottery ticket that "would take care of his family for life." You see, that hook worked on my father-in-law because he was slightly addled from intensive chemo and pain medication and he desperately wanted to see his family better taken care of after he died.

These con artists are the bottom feeding lowlife scum of the earth - lower than the lowest socialist share-the-wealth democrat race baiting poverty pimps. E-mails like this should be forwarded to law enforcement rather than posted as an opportunity to ridicule the victims.
