I suppose you fell for the way the writer spun it by saying that the bill allows Mexicans already here to apply for a visa. That's an amnesty in itself. The law requires that you apply for a visa before swimming the Rio Grande and infiltrating Texas. It requires that you apply for a visa and get one before you ease out of Texas to Virginia and get a job(using a false SS number) at the Hyatt.

So, Mexicans who have violated the law and are going to be allowed to skate on their violation and just apply for a visa after the fact are not getting amnesty for a violation of a law (also known as committing a crime)?

Is it for for that or is it for visa's that have expired while still here? There is a difference.
