The same alarm bells that go off when I hear that a bomb hit a baby factory (or some crap like that) in a military campaign. Saying every Muslim rejoiced to see America get ‘what for’ is a generalization that simply panders to pre-existing religious prejudices.

Yes, real or not, it rings true. And deeply troubling.

In the other great wars in American history, we knew the size of our enemy, fairly accurately, from the get go.

In this war, the enemy seems to be a state of mind (er well, of passion) held by perhaps a hundred million Muslims. Because America is in no position to identify them, much less do battle with them, simultaneously and immediately, and because to do so would be unconsionable genocide, not conventional war, we have absolutely no choice but to pick and choose our battles.

But this leads us to the precarious position of not knowing our enemy. Our President's words, and the common understanding of the people is that we are fighting perhaps tens of thousands of terrorists, not hundreds of millions of hearts filled with hatred.

This strikes me as a great, albeit seemingly necessary, deception. However I believe, deeply, that great deceptions come home to roost, sooner or later.

Do you remember seeing the Palestinians after the attack? They were rejoicing! I particularly remember this one older woman clapping and jumping up and down at a market.

How many imams came out and vociferously condemned the attacks? The RAT favoring media would have eaten it up had they had done so. But they didn't? Why?

This is a very disturbing letter because it contains the truth. What do we do about it? We have a President who talks Home Security and then enacts legislation contrary to our safety. He panders to the American Muslims by trying to downplay the Jihad agenda. I voted for Bush, but I have to tell you....I may not the next time. That's what it sounds like to me too. I'd like to look at the email headers to see where the message came from, but that is hardly conclusive evidence. The level of English skill in the writing is very high for a random Saudi citizen.

Ignore the government and media mantra that Islam planes into buildings, slit women's throats, mutilate little girls and murder infants is the religion of peace. Violence, hatred, xenophobia and calls for our murder are the central message of the Koran.
