which come from God.
I am not saying the state had the right to take away his plate, however.
To: southernnorthcarolina
That's freaking brilliant...lol.
To: rwfromkansas
Hmm....well sir, why do you claim you have any rights if you don't believe in GodJediGirl =/= Sir, JediGirl == Lady
Maybe rights don't come from God. Maybe there are no "inalienable" or natural rights. Maybe we form and keep societies and governments in order to defend artificially constructed rights, because we like having them.

Maybe you meant "sir" Stephen Miles, and not "sir" JediGirl... nevermind then.

you should be made to sit on your hands. oh wait.... ;)

No. This is not the American theory of govt.
To: JediGirl
No, it's not a contradiction at all. The state doesn't have to give you special "vanity" plates. But the state does have to give you the right to free speech. So, the state doesn't have to contribute to distracting other drivers with "vanity" plates, but can't really prevent you from stickering up your car if you want to.

What is the "American theory of govt?"

Sorry sir, you don't believe in God-given rights.Let me get this straight: If you don't believe in God, you don't get God-given rights.
But if I don't believe in God, how did I get God-given free will? How was I given the gift of life from God? Why doesn't God smite me right now?

Everyone are given rights.
"But if I don't believe in God, how did I get God-given free will? How was I given the gift of life from God? Why doesn't God smite me right now?"
God's common grace extended to all mankind.
To: JediGirl
I will never understand why people feel threatened by an individual or even a group of people who chose to define themselves by what they DON'T believe in. They are as troubling as what they belive in, nothing. Let them speak to the wind and the like minded.

"THRAPST" works.
Just to keep them off-guard, make it "THR4P5T," and tell them it means "There for pee, fifty"

God's common grace extended to all mankind. So we're all saved? Or if works are required to get into Heaven, we have to do those, but we never have to say a Christian prayer in our lives?

Sorry sir, you don't believe in God-given rights.
As is his right. How weird you are if you support this ban.
To: Bella_Bru
Yep, Florida is going to have to get rid of all plates with any theological statements, or the state is toast. The courts will bitch slap it, and they should.

I agree, after all, Christianity is a religion of peace. It is, you know. It is the atheists who are the all-time champion mass murderers. False Christianity, motivated by the same foul spirit that animates atheism, has killed many as well. But atheism naked and unmasked is by far the most efficient murder machine.
Hope you're proud of it.
To: Kevin Curry
It is the atheists who are the all-time champion mass murderers That is a bit over the top, but not wholly atypical. To each his own. My dad was an atheist, one of the finest individuals I ever knew, and he didn't advocate mass murder once. Neither have my two brothers. I don't either (although I am a not quite an atheist but close). Have a good evening.
